PT. Bank Bumi Arta, Tbk was originally named Bank Bumi Arta Indonesia was established in Jakarta on 3 March 1967, with Operational Headquarters in Jalan Flagpole III No. 24, West Jakarta. On September 18, 1976, Bank Bumi Arta got permission from the Minister of Finance of the Republic of Indonesia to combine its business with Bank Duta Nusantara. The merger aims to strengthen its capital structure, Bank management, and expand the network of Bank operations. Eight branch offices of Bank Duta Nusantara of Jakarta, Bandung, Semarang, Surakarta, Surabaya, Yogyakarta and Magelang became a branch office of the Bank Bumi Arta. Branch Office of Yogyakarta and Magelang was then moved to Bandar Lampung and Medan until today.
