Bank Central Asia (Bank BCA) is the largest private bank in Indonesia. The Bank was founded on February 21, 1957 as Bank Central Asia NV and was once an important part of Salim Group. The current President (term of Office 1999-present) was the Emir Setijoso Djohan. BCA was officially established on February 21, 1957 as Bank Central Asia NV. Many things have been undertaken since the time of its establishment, and perhaps the most significant was the monetary crisis which occurred in 1997.
